Four things make the price different from office to office. Knowing them helps you spot when an office is charging too much.
How It's Quoted: Piece by Piece or All at Once
Many Houston offices only quote the implant post. That is about $2,500. Then they charge you for the abutment ($600 to $900). Then the crown ($1,400 to $2,100). Your total often ends up $4,500 to $6,000 by the time all three are billed. Best Dental puts all three into one $1,995 price from the start.
Office Costs
A fancy office in the Galleria or downtown has big costs. They pay for a nice lobby, lots of ads, and high rent. Those costs get added to your price. Best Dental runs a busy local office. We have helped over 10,000 Fort Bend patients since 2002. We keep costs low so your price stays low.
Extra Work: Graft and Extraction
Some patients need a bone graft or a tooth pulled before the implant. Houston offices often charge $800 to $1,500 per graft site. Many do not tell you until your visit. Best Dental charges a flat $500 per graft site. Pulling a tooth is $250. We tell you up front. Most single tooth patients do not need either one.
Insurance and How You Pay
Most PPO dental plans pay 30 to 50% of your implant cost. The yearly max is usually $1,500 to $2,500. Paying the full amount at once saves you from paying interest. CareCredit lets you pay monthly for 12 to 24 months at 0% interest. Best Dental works with all three options.
What Your Monthly Payment Looks Like
CareCredit gives you 0% interest if you qualify. Here is how Best Dental's $1,995 implant breaks down by month.
Note: 0% interest plans need good credit. PPO savings of $1,500 are a guess. Your real benefit may be different. Best Dental checks your plan before you start treatment.
